A Petrograd communique states that the Germans east of Grodno ave been persistently attacking since Friday morning on the front Odery Skidel. We repeatedly repulscit these attacks with the bayonet. Skidel was constantly changing hands, and eventually, towards evening, ulter o brilliant assault by a Russian battalion, Skidel remained in the posses sion of the Russians, whose cavalry cagerly pursued the enemy, aided by infantry which dislodged the Germans (mm- their trenches south of Skidel.
