FIELD MARSHAL FRENCH INSPECTS AND PRAISES

THE FOURTH DIVISION,

LONDON, July 22.

Reuter's correspondent at Headquarters states that Field Marshal French inspected the Fourth Division and thanked them for their splendid work and especially for their endurance and courage in the second. battle of Ypres. The Field Marshal visited all the units and, addressing the Divisional artillery, said that they had been with the Divison since they landed in August and bad shared its fortuner in every engagement since Lecateau.
