A SUCCESS IN THE CAMEROONS.
LONDON, July 16.
The Press Bureau states that the Allies have occupied the import- an' town of Ngaundore, Central Cameroons.
GERMANS AGAIN DEFEATED.
Ruuter's correspondent in Paris says the Gorman's only attempt. yesterday night in the Argonne region was defeated by a curtain of fire; but an oxceedingly fierce battle was fought at Lointry, in Lorraine; the Germans concentrating their main attack on a front of three kilometres, against positions previously lost. The communique adds that, this attack was accompanied by a bombardment along a vast front with isolated in- fantry attacks as demonstrations. The enemy wore everywhere repulsed. They only gained one footing in a thicket and wore immediately driven
sul.
The Germans reached our entanglements in the forest of Parroy but were defeated by our fire. They left numbers of prisoners.
The losses of the enemy throughout were apparently heavy.
