Loxtos June fl. Telegramas from Amsterdam, state that German comment on the rosignation of Mr. Bryan shows that the loading German newspapers are extraordinarily ignomnt of American opinion. Their views are summed up in the corament of the Cologne Gazette, "which considers that the resignation is a victory for Gennan-Americans, unil says it is hoped that the latter will now obtain the prohibition of the export of munitions.

TERRIFIC FIGHTING.

Lesbos, June 10.

After the Sght at a chutein at Hooge, near Ypres, on the 3rd inst. the Brigadier-tienenil, in an Order, particularly congratulated the 3rd Dragoon Guards for their inagnifient ecurge and determination in defending the chateau. When the Dragons arrived in the trenches on the 9th May they were heavily shelled by high explosives, and retired tempararily, but they returned during the night and dug another trench, in front of not helind, that which had been wrecked. On the early morning of the 31st May the Dragoons, erept towards the ruine chateau and expelled the German defenders. They then dug trenches in the park foiling all the attempts of the Gennans to re-occupy the ruins.

The Germans on the 2nd inst. tried to annihibite the Dragoons with a cannonulu so intense that it was like machine-gun fire with high explosive shells instead of bullets. Succeiling infantry attacks were repulsert.

When the Dngoons first entered the clutenu they found the holy of British soldier with seventeen, imyonet womads.

Russia successes, North and South, are admitted in to-night's Gorman communique, says an Amsterdam telegram.

The Russians bringing up reinforcements from the North-East checked the Germana encircling movement at Dubissa and the Germans retreated to a new line.

The communique also says that frosh Russian forces have advanced from South and South-East of Lenberg..

An Austrian torpedo-boat which endeavoured to leave the Gulf of Tricsta has been sunk by an Italian submarine. The crew were drowned:

LONDON, Jane 10.

Allied airmen on Sunday night few over Brussels. The citizens were awakened by the reports of guns of all calibres. The airmen dropped bombu on. Etterbeek, but did not hit the hangar. Despite the heaviest gunfire, however, the airmen returned and dropped bombs on a Zeppelin shed at Helmet. Great flames arose, and a Parseval and part of the shed were destroyed. The airmen, on the way home, threw bombs on the German stables.

SUBMARINES WAR ON TRAWLERS.

LONDON, June 11.

The submarizing of trawlers continues. Six are reported, to have been sunk today, and also a German steamer, captured after the outbreaks of war, and a small schoner. Two crews were reached by Dutch vesela. In one case trawler men were without food and water for 52 hours.

FRENCH CONTINUE TO PROGRESS.

A Rome communique says:The Austrians lost 200 killed and 400: wounded, and abandoned 220 prisoners, in the fighting on the 7th, 8th and 9th inst. for the possession of Friskolel on the Carnia frontier.
