GERMAN SUBMARINE SUNK.

LONDON, June 10.

In the House of Commons, Mr. Balfour, First, Lord of the Admi- ity, announced that a German submarino had been sunk and that six officers and twenty-one of the crow had been captured.

MR. BRYAN'S RESIGNATION.

LONDON, June 10. says that the astonishment in The Now York Evening Post Washington regarding Mr. Bryan's resignation was heightened when it became known that the Note to Germany was in a friendly tone, and merely reaffirmed the original Note, and in nowise closed the way to a peaceful solution.
