MILAN, Sunday Evening For the last week, says the "Daily Telegraph's "Man correspondent wiring on Dec. 28th., all Italy has been discuss ing the alleged disappearance of Cardinal Tampils's will; but many wild conjce tures have been introduced into the dis- cussion, and no real light has been thrown on the matter.

Up to the present we have no proois that a recent will made by the Cardinal exists at all; and even if it does exist, wo are hardy justified by the aridonce in assuring that it has disappeared. To sunt up the position briefly is may be sted that the presumption that the willOTIVE IS HERELY GIVEN that
has disappeared is based on the follow 29 ing facts.
After the Cardinal's death a key was found with a label attached bearing the words: "This is the key of the black box in the drawer of the wardrobe." This boot, however, could not be fourd; but among the Cardinal's letters, was dis- covered a will dated 1880.
Rumours began to circalate after this 19 discovery that the last Hack box con 19 tained mars recent will, and this sup. position was thought to be confirmed by 1 other known facts. The will of 1889 13 named as the heiress to the Cardinal's
