The Paris correspondent of the Daily Telegraph," writing on September 23 aire the hardships of the cigarette smoker in France. He writes :-This alternoon tha tobacconists of Paris held a meeting, at which were present the oficials of the State tobacco and match factories. As a matter of fact, this friendly con grass is held onod ayery three months, and, na a rule, very littlo is heard about it. Tobacconista and oficials expond their mutual grievances and make arran- gements for the next few months with. out making the unfortunate consumar into ecurideration.
