Sore Throat?

Then Try Formamint.

Sore Throat is so com inon in this climate that never to suffer from it, even during the worst season of the year, would be an unique experience for most people. Yet this can easily be, accom.. plished, as an eminent physician has proved, "I have never had a Sore Threat myself since 1 began to use Formamint Tablets," he writes in the "Practitioner"

for December, 1907, "although I suffered periodically before." Everyone who uses Formamint may enjoy the same immunity, not merely from Sore Throat, but also from Tonsillitis, and those grave infectious diseases like Diphtheria, Consumption. Scarlet Fever, Measles, Mumps, etc., many of which invariably begia with Sore Throat.

Ali such diseases are contracted through inhaling germs, which breed rapidly in the mouth and throat. A Formamint Tablet, dissolved in the mouth, instantly destroys these germs.

Formamint

PROF. SEIFERT, M.D., writes: "Formamint Tablets have answered excellently in Sore Throat, and are splen- didly adapted as preventive of infec-

tious disease."

to the taste."

Although Fermamint Tab- lets are pleasantly flavoured and quite harmless, they con tain a powerful antiseptic which goes thoroughly over

the the lining of rionth and throat, and is absolutely fatal to germ life. Therefore, they not only cure and prevent Sore Throat, but offer safe pro tection against infectious dis

eases.

These claims are thoroughly endorsed by the Medical Pro- fession; there are thousands of testimonials written in the same strain as the three quoted above and amongst the most prominent users of Formamint

are such celebrated people as Queen Alexandra's confiden. tial secretary, the Hon. Char- lotte Kaclys: the ex-Prime Minister of Great Britain, the Rt. Hon. Arthur J. Ballohr, M.P.; Lord Kingsale: Lord Justice Buckley; Sir Gilbert Parker, M.P.: the Archdeacon' of Bristol, and the Dowager Countess of Wicklow, etc.

Harmful and worthless tab- lets, with names very similar to Formamint, are frequently offered for sale. Refuse these firmly and insist on Walfing's Forulamint, which is sold at vall Chemists, in bottles of 50

tablets.

Colonel Suely sail there was no item in these Estimates which involved any change of policy, but it was necessary ba nsk for the sum for several main reasons. The Indina troops in China bod had lots the Treasury if he would state what

The Marquess of Tullibardine inquired whether the increase in Army expendi- sure in China had been due to the fact that the Admiralty had not carried out the Estimates which they presented last

year.

Mr. Tennant said that the increased foren in China had been neossary owing to the internal condition of that country, and had nothing to do with Admiralty policy.

Sir T. Jurdine ked for further parti culers regarding the item of £97.000 for expouses of native Indian troops tem- porarily employed" in China.

Mr. H. Baker maintained that no one at the Foreign Office the War Offer could have foreseen last year that they would require to keep theen troops in China for so long a time.

Mr. J. F. Fope thought they should have a little moen information with re- gard to the Estimate of £07,000 for the Indian soldiers in China. Where exactly were the troops, what wore their duties, and had the Government any idea how long they would require to be kept in China?

oxplanation of it; and why the Comp. troller and Auditor-General had not em- bodied in his Report on the Treasury thest Fund a suremary of the explana tion and his comments do it.

Mr. Masterman, in a written reply, ass-The Sgures quoted appear to in- clude in the total loss profit of £25,086 made in 1901-8. The average loss in the last five years has been, about £23,000. The money was required for payments in Hongkong, and China, chiefly for Army and Navy Services. As I explained in Committee of Supply bah last year and this year the loss was mainly due to the fact that. owing to fluctuations in the price of silver, the rate at which dollars are issued as the equivalent of sterling (which under this prosent system is fixed some time in advance) does not cor repond with the rate at which the da. lars are bought in the market at the time of issue. I propose to appoint a small Committee to consider the method of fixing the dollar rate which dates from 1888. The annual account the Trea. sury Chest Fund, as presented to Parlia ment, is accompanied by the Beport of the Comptroller and Auditor-General on the account, containing such commente as he thinks necessary.

Mr. Newman pointed out that the in- crease of the force in China took place subsequently to April, 1912, when there was only a comparatively soal force in Southern China. He also complained that when the force was increased an increase was made in the staff.
