Her port light came on board, and was found to be still burning when picked up on the re- castle of the "Centurion." The collision occurred at 5,38 am, Nothing was seo- of the steamer after, the impact.. Probably she was buried on her beam ends by the onslaught of the "Centurion," and at once toppled over and went to the bottom.

The captain of the "Centurion" bad the collision mats out as it was found that the battleship was losking to some extent.
