RAY PLAYS WELL AGAINST BRANS

The present golf champion, Edward Ray, who is now attached to the Oxhey Club, near Watford, took part in 33 holes medal e mpetition with James Braid, Walton Hesth, on the West Hove Club course, at Portatade. Ray was entirely 618 responsible for the construction of the course, which was in very good order yes- terday, although there was very little pun on the bail. The weather was fine.

Ray was in excellent form in the mom ran down a fiftéon yards putt for another At the thirteenth which measures 194 yards.
