·Grounock, the failure of Chalmers to score
from a penalty kick and the brilliance of the Aberdeen defence, were the principal features. Morton's usually penetrative forwards could not gut through. Third Lanark, in picking up point at Paisley, shared four goals. But no other club scored more than onen. Altogether, *soron clubs did not, get a legitimato goal.. Motherwell's draw at Airdrie, Rihmarnock's division of points at Kirkcaldy, and Queen's
Park's show at Danden wero meritorious
porformances. But all paled before the
achievements of Aberdeen at Greenock.
The holiday League matches wore spoiled by bad weather, and none of them showed much form.
