Bishop's Daughter Married to

The marriage took place at Lincoln on Sept. 21 of Mr Edmund George Valpy Knox, eldest son of the Bishop of Man cheater, and Miss Christina Francen Hicks, younger daughter of the Bishop of Lincoln. The bridegroom, who was born in 1881. was educated at Corpus Christi College,

Oxford. He is a regular contributor of Punch, under the pen-name "Eroc." The bride, who is twenty-seven years of age, was also educated at Oxford—at Somerville College-and took hours in English literature. She is an active supporter of women's ruffrage.

The ceremony which took place in A chapel attached to the Bishop of Lincoln's residence, was conducted by the Bishop of Manchester, the Rev. D. Lockett, bro- ther-in-law of the bride, and the Rev. R.
