An Indian charged with behaving in a disorderly manner whilst drunk in Hollywood Rond on Sunday morning and with assaulting, long and smashing his helmet, doing domage to the extent af 60 cents, told the 3agistrate that hu was returning from a dinner party, and when he got to the house found a hawker blocking the dorway. The long realising that be had gone too far threw his own helmet to the ground, trampled on it, and blew his whistle. When another constable ar. rived, he gave the defendant in charge for stult. The Magistrate found the In- dian guilty on the count of being drial and fined him 85. He dismissed the second count, but ordered him to pay 60 'couts for damage to the helmet.
