A report that there had been fighting.at the big tannery at Lai Shin You on Saturday and that the tannery had been looted by robbers proves to be to a certain extent true, and on Sunday 8 or 10 robbers were shot in a vacant piece of ground near the railway station. A Sght took place between a number of the pirate soldiers and the guards on duty but it was not of great importance and the tannery does not seem to have suffered Mr H. Adair much.
