From Glace Bay it wil be possible to communicate direct with Vancouver, where a large power-ataticu is to be established which will provide direct communication with Hongkong.#'

It is hoped that when all the stations are working a paucy-s-word service may be instituted over a given dis tance, the Government agreeing to pay the contrasting company on annual sum of probably, £10,000 per annum for each station. It is understood that the govern ments of the self-governing Colonier will co-operate with the Imperial Government in meeting this subsidy. The annual out lay on all the stations is natimated rughlyn at £200,000 per annum, and the income of the basis of 16,000 words per day operated at each station, at nearly £600,000
