CALCUTTA, October 14th.

The notification of the rebate of 30 per cent on the rates to Rangeon by British India and the Asiatic Steam Navigation [Companies was given in a cirular, dated Olcutta, the 12th instant, addressed to all shippers to Rangoon` under contract with these two Companies, The circular

stated:--

Wo hereby notify that, if the steamer Jinsen Mara proceeds hence to Rangon this month on Ler way to Japan, the above | Companica will grant all their contract shippers (who can provo to us that aeither drectly nor indirectly are they interested in selling goods. It Calcutta for shipment or themselves shipping any cargo by the above-named stasmer to Rangoon) a return of 50 per cent. of the freights paid on shipments by the two steamers of either Company which all for Rangoon--and on the same day or | just preceding, and one immediately mi loring the Jinson Mara's departure.
