An accident occurred on Board the steamer in July 13, on the voyage from Hongkong to Melbourne, as a result of which one of the boilers was seriously damaged. At the inquiry on August 15th the Court found that the casualty was caused by the wrongful net of the chief engineer by putting too much water in the boilor in the first instance, and by his default, when he was called, in not trying the Manager. to ascertain more accurately before he left
