A Clergyman
Nervous. Collapse, Brain Fag,
Neuralgia-
For getting things done, making things go, the invigorating stimulus of Phosferine cannot be equalled, says the Rev. A. H. Field. Fally aware that as a clergyman he is bound to make sure of the accuracy of his estimation of Phosferine, this gentleman states bat, distinct from other cases, he has verified and tested the efficacy of the tonic himself. It was Phosferine, and Phosferine alone, he says, which raised him from the nervous collapse, remedied the brain-fag and neuralgia which held down bis efforts and arrested his plans over a lengthy period. Since taking Phosferine be is entirely free from nervous distresses, and can put his whole heart and energies into his work, and indeed, such is his activity that he has roused many helpers to his cause. Experience has taught the Rev. A. H. Field that numbers of people do not realise their languor and half-hearted efforts are due to lack of nerve force, and be believes they will quicker appreciate. the efficacy of Phosferine by learning of his own recovery.
Have No Existence Now.
Rev. A. H. Field, 335, Brettenham Road, Walthamstow, writes:.. It gives me much pleasure to testify to the beneficial effects of Phosferine in many cases of nervous disorder, where I have advised the use of your tonie. Some four years ago I myself had a Dervous breakdown, and a friend advised Phosferine. I took his advice, and I speedily found that I had acted wisely, for the neuralgic pairs and the mental weariness socn took flight, and I was thoroughly braced up. Recently some members of my church, at my suggestion, tried the remedy, and were quite satisfied with the beneficial results. I.have advised its use now for nearly four years, and in no case has it yet proved a failure. When one thinks of the great cumber of so-called nerve remedies, it is satisfactory to find at least one upon which reliance can be placed. I wish your Phoslerine every success. When preaching away, I have noticed Phosferine ûnda a place in the village homes."

E 38,000 The gentleman responsible for this osti. mato, Mr Marks, who was also a vendor, was living in the clouds. It was on the basis that the rubber trees were actually on the ground. But they were not there, and the position was very different.
The shareholders found that it was zota rubber company, at all; it was a banana company. In the newspaper prospectus too, they mixed the two profits, and overy- thing was done to induce investors to be- lieve that this was a rubber concorn.
י.
Forty-five thousand rubber trees wery mentioned in the prospectus, but of those 30,000 were not in existence. They could only say as they did of the snakes in Ice- land. There were no enakes in Iceland; there never were 30,000 trees. As to the remaining 15,000, if they existed at all, s to which doubt existed, they were stated to have been destroyed by the nativos.
The shares purchased had declined, and were now absolutely worthless. Ho de scribed the scheme as a trick, which was net consistent with the standarda of com- mercial integrity that they respected. The plaintif bad disposed of half of the shares he bought, and he now made a claim for £406 58.
Plaintif then gave evidence. Ho said that the defendants were the largest dealer in crude rubber in the world, and when ho was told they were bringing out this com pany, he was willing to take almost any number of shares because of the firm's high

the bananas, and did not know he was buying shares in anything but a rubber company.
Cross-examined, he admitted that it was common thing for rubber companies to grow other produce.
Mr John Dudley Johnson, visaager.for defendants in Liverpool, was the first wit. ness for the defence, and he said that bep in London on April 8, he glanced at the prospectus, but did not take very much notice of it, because he did not expect that at Liveopool he would be called upon to dispose of shares. Later he was asked to do so, but he did not agree with the versions as to what occurred. He denied having called it "rubber company;" he always referred to it. by its full name or. #Filisola." He had not said anything at all about the concern that was knowingly
untrue,
