A coolie kidtapped a child from a village near Yaumati on Saturday about nou, but the facts were not reported to the police station until sight o'clock the following morning. Just half an hour previously. however, the offerider had been arrested at Low, whither he had gone by rail, with the child in he possession. He was charged at the Magistracy to-day with kidnapping and offering a bribe of 60 cents to a constable. The case was rimanded.
