Meeting.

Hou-Mr. W. Brewin, Registrar General, presided over the annual meeting of the Alice Memorial and Affiliated Hospitals ou Friday evening when there were present" the Hon Dr He Kai, Mrs., W. Bolles, A. S. Cousland Dr Forsyth, Dr I. E. Mitchell, S. W. Tu, F. M Crawford,

and Dr R. MacLean Gilson, Dr. Ho Kni said that they land a Large number of names on the finance com mittee yet it was always desirable to intro duce new blood amminily and he therefore proposed that Messrs Chau Po Sien and Clan Kai Ming, chairman of the Tunis Wah Hospital, should be elected.

Mr T having conded the motion it was unanimously carried.-

The report. of the secretary was laid on the table and Mr Crawford submitted his annical statement of accounts and on the motion of Mr Ballen seconded by Mr Courland the accounts were adopted. |

A hearty voto of thanks was accorded to Mr Crawford on tae mution of Mr To secunded by Mr Bolles, while a vote of thanks was also Accorded to Mr David Wood, on the motion of Dr Mitchell seconded by Dr Forsyth, for his services an auditor.

In these days of reform and progres it might be somehow possible to secura the more active cooper- ation of the Chinese Indies in getting sub Sriptions for would never forget that they owed the Ho Miu Ling Hospital to the gonerosity of a Chiosa budy, but the ames of Chinese Ladies did not appear regularly on the subscription list The Maternity Hospital work showed progress and the number of patients were increna ing every year. He regretted that Dr. Perkins wna not present at the meeting as they would have liked to have welcomed her on taking Dr Sibreo's place nad to Assure her that she would have plenty of work to do.(Applatis)..

On the motion of the Hon Dr Ho Kaf the chairman was re-elected, the proposition being seconded by Dr Gibson.
