The Eastern Timer of February 22 has published the following telegram, dated Peking, February 21, giving the number of deaths from the plague in the North :-
Since the outbreak of the plague up to: the 10th instant, the number of plague) deaths within the area of the Chineso Eastern Railway lino is as follows;~~.

In the above, Harbin had the highest number of deaths, viz: 1227. · Outside the Railway Area, there had been 5037 deaths.
