the Supreme Court this morning when a CALB was mentioned before Mr Justice Hazoland.

Mr P. W. Guldring, who appeared for plaintiff, said he wished for a day to be fixed for the hearing of a case in which the defendant was alleged to be buffering from beri-bari. Wife's Summons Dismissed.

At the Magistracy, this morning, before

Mf J. R. Wood, the case was again called

in which a Chiciese woman named Loung

Tan Shi eommoned her husband, Loung Kam Ming, for neglecting to provide reaseable maintenance for her and her infant children whom he is legally liable to maintain. Mr Reader Harris defenced.

His Worship asked Me Harris what bad taken place in the case slice the last adjournment.

Mr Harris said the last time he saw the woman was on fonday, when he suggested certain toros to her which she refused to accept. He then proposed that nhẹ go before the Registrar General on Wednesday so that the whole facts might be placed before him, but this also she refused to do. Defendant had offered to support her, to give her a bogey, and to find hér pockete money.

His Worship reminded the complainsot tint on the les occasion ho advised her to make some suttlement with her husband, but as she hul net done so he should dismiss the summons.
