Doctor Francisco Xavier Pereira, who passed away at 3 p.m. to-day in his 26th year. Deceased had been laid low for two months past by an affection" of the lungs. At the time of his death he was deputy Chief Justice and a member of the Conselho da Providein. Distinction ever marked the discharge of his duties. Dr Pereira enjoyed independent means and was a nephew of Chptain E. C. Lourenco.
