Spring Rose maticed it alea, as we both ande desperate efforts to catch Marbles; but I am absolitely convinced and positive is say own mind, that no effort could have pased. Marbles in the short listance before the Winning Post was renclied, in such heavy going, even if both ponies had run struight. And in my opinion, from a sporting point of view the date of Marbles must go down as The Unbeaten Pony of the Spring Meeting of 1910.

I am sorry for its genial owner, Mr Fash, and for Mr Springfield who has so unfor 'tumuely lost his first Champions,

Commenting on the matter, our con. temporary observed: -In regard to the complaint lodged against Marbles in the Champions it would have obvited-popular misunderstanding, if the Stewards bad isaned with their note of disqualification an explanation of the incident, in view of the. double swerve made by Marbles.
