Since apparently it was not » ques- ou of dollars, I utterly fail to see the reason for the selection made by our Motherly Guide-the Executive Council,--| and I am a parson deeply interested in the welfare and progress of the Colony.

The present farmor has been discarded. Why? He is an experienced business man and has held the position for some thros years and therefore knows the duties and business of the position.

I believe it not improbable that all the tanderers were cognizant of each other's tenders and therefore there is some reason for the "nearaess of the figures. At Icast I am certain the business is a most. paying one to the party successfully ton dering. Will the youthful new Fartner increase that basiness and the revenue of the Colony in that connection?

In my humble opinion there is scma thing which require explanation, perhaps your paper will elucidate the mystery. Yours faithfully,'
