Herr Kohler the distinguished pianist, after a very happy and successful visit to Swatow, has returned to Hongkong, He latends giving a recital at the Peak Hotel on Monday next, particulars of which will be duly announced. The Times recently wrote:-H Heinrich Kohle a pianist from Germany, gave a recital on Saturday afternoon at Steinway, Ball, when he proved himself a pianist of first order in his elaborate programme, especially in Beet- hoven's D minor Sorata, Schumann's Etudes Eymphoniques, and Licat's colossal sorange- ment of Wagner's Tannhauser March. Herr Kohler also played two of his 'own | compositiona, a Tocosts and Barcarollo.! These graceful pieces was much saisired."
