HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

The Spring Flower Show of the above: Society was bold on Monday afternoon. Pot Flowers and Plants were exbibited on the Lawn, and Cub Flowers in the Masonic Hall. The members of the Customs "Sunnyside" Moss kindly leat a room for Tablo Decorations.

The afternoon was a pleasant oue, and nently everybody put in an appearance. The Show this year wis a pronounced spocess, the Cut Flowers specially being worthy of mention. One of the features was an exhibit of some specimens of gladi. "oles primalinus bybrids by Mr W. H Wallace. This flower comes from the Victorin Falls on the Zambesi, and is apmething gusto new. Mr Livingston was awarded the prize for the best table, which was very beautifully arranzea......

Mr Walles gained 66 prizes. albogether, worth $31.00. M Krase with 28, My Sundite with 18. Mr Mencarini 15 and Mr Wilson 18 also did excellbatly. "The Band of the S. M. S. Duchas played selections during the afternoon, and the music was, much appreciated.

The earthquake felt here on Thursday
