In response to the invitation published in the newspapers by Mr A. O. Bewa, there was a good attendance of represa tatives at the meeting held last night in the Hongkong Cricket Club's pavilion to equsider the desirability of establishing summer tennis lengue in the Colony.

It was decided, on the motion of Mr Mead, secunded by Mr. Brett, that the Hongkong Club did not wish

to join, as they desired to give their rest in the summer months. ground Baden observed the Chairman, they would be too strong for the othar clubs.

It was resolved to invita Dr Forsyth to become President, and Mr J. B. Wood Vice-President; Mr A. G.
