(From Our Own Correspondent). ANOTHER DEATH,

AMOV, February 10, Death has been very busy of late in Amoy, and this week claimed, anothor. victim. This time it was Mr Barnet Nicholls who received his summons to cross the “last rivor" of life. He has not been in good health for some years, and has suffered a good deal with his eyes, but the end was suddon, for he was much as umal on Tuesday, the 18th, and the heart failure that brought about the end between nine and ten o'clock was quite unexpected. He was the oldest foreign resident in Amoy, having lived here, off and on, for 50 years or so, and boing well over 70. The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock in the Foreign. Cemetery, and was attended by a large number of Amoy residents, the service being conducted by the Itos. J. Macgowan, of the J.M.S, who, by the way, now becomes the oldest resident in Amoy. r Nicholls leaves a widow and other relatives to lament his loss.
