CANTON, January 31.

A fire broke out on the Choi-ku Flower Boat at 11 p.m. on the 30th Fanunty. All the flower boats, with the exception of four small vessels, were burnt to the water's edge. About one hundred lives are said to have been lost. The fire was extinguished at 3 a.m.
