Accounts for Last Year.

The Acting Treasurer and Secretary, the Raw. A. J. Stores, Chaplain, reports:-

In presenting the accompanying faci counts, the Chaplain, as acting treasurer, begs to call attention to the following points The subscriptions and donations how an increase of $170 for, with the military contribution, $220) upon the previous year's total; the Chaplain's dona- tions of "fcos," and Baptismal and Church- -ing offerings, are more thac'in 1907, by $72.8); and bho offertories' total exceeds st of 1907, by $42.18 (or, taking the urch maintenance offerteries only, the increme is $62). But in contributions far sittings" the receipts for 1908, fall short of those for 1907 br 8227.50; of which mut, however, 880 (owing at December 31at last) may yet be contributed. More- aver, whilst 1907 began with a balunen on the working account of $287.09, only $59.40 of thi auna romanod to be carried forward to 1988. The expenditures (apart from furnishing fund and special offertory disbursemonts) were over $60 loss in 1008 than in 1947. We are after all, thankful that the year's accounts close with a amall balance in favour, (928.76 on Working account, or with "seat rezts" for 1909 in advance, and the trifle left of the furnishing fund, 845.72 in all). For about half a year, the secounts showed a month's expense (more or less) in sergates to the Treasurer, but Sir Paul Chabor's donation (which he i kindly proposed to increase had a larger amount bean needed to avert a dəlicit) settled all liabilities so far as 1909 WAS concerned Other liabilities, in connection with the Chaplain's dopature for Hone, on the termination of his three years' engagement, are being dealt with by special appert of the by-members of the Vestry.

The Chaplais tenders beuty thanks to all donors, subscribers, sexthuklers, and other contributors to the Church funds during 1988. To the St. Jobu's Catheriral Church Body for theis grant of half the stipend. To the Bishop of Victoria for 3 sermons at St. Andrew's To the following clergy (who assisted the Chaplain, or tool bis place at St. Andrew's when he was engaged at the Cathedmi)-Rers (3, A. To Hisa Lesbivel, her eflcient successor, as organiet and Sunday School teacher. To the lay- mombers of the Vestry, for their support and help. CURED BY TWO SETS

OF CUTICURA REMEDIES

"My trouble started with swelling in my right hand, which became red and very painful and irritating. This swell- ing opread gradually up the arm until it reached the elbow It is impossible for me to give my idea of the agony I went through during the three years that this ecaptan continued. I tried frst cae remedy and then another, only too gad to test anything that my friends suggested. Nothing seemed to be of the least good. I went to a doctor for four weeks in the provinces, where I was living at the time, and the treatment he put mo under was as ineffectual as the rest. I was almost in despair. One day I happened to eatch sight of an advertiserant of Cuticura Remedies, and there I read of a case of cozema having heen cured by the use of Cuti- cura Scap, Cuticura Ointment, and Cuticura Resolvent Filis. The case was eo onliar to my own that I thought I would at least niske cne nero try to Fot my arm right. I bought the whole treatment of Ele cbemiat, and I perse- vered with it for a week. By that time the improvement was apparent to any one, and the reef Licht myself was great. I should not have believed it possible for any remedy to afford soch comfort in ao short a time. My ex- perience with the other remedies for

and should think I tried them ellables me to appreciate Cuticura to the full. By the doctor's order I was hoping my arm in a sling for man months, but the sling was soon elispensed with when I started with Cricure. I persevered with Cuticure

Dintment, and Pills for about a core if murthe, using, in all twe complete treatments, and I can tell you crididly and heartily, tha: I was cured. I have occasion to have great faith fa Cuticura fa skin ailments, not only because of the great good it has core me, but hecause of the benefit I know bus accrued from its use in ather cases.
