The Governor on Educational Advancement in the Colony.

To-day the annual distribution of prizes was made by His Excellency the Governor (Sir Francis Lugard) in connection with the Diocesan School and Orphanage.

The Lord Bishop of Victoria presided, and was supported by His Excellency the Governor (Sir Francis Lagard), the Hon. Mr E. A. Hewett, Dir à. J. Brustonbury (Private Secretary to the Governer), the Rev. F. T. Johnson, the Bead Master (Dr Piercy), while among the large attendance prosent were the Rer. T. W. and Mrs Pearce, the Rev. E. G. and Mrs Barnett, the Rev. C. H. and Mrs Hickling, Me and Mrs W. D. Braidwood, Rev. A. D. Stewart, Rev. I. A. and Mrs Bunbury, Miss Henniker, Hon. Dr Atkinson and Mr Sim Tak Fan.
