THE BIJOU TROUBADOURS.

Opening Performance.

The opening performance given on Tues- day evening at the Theatre Royal; by the Bijou Troubadours, a juvenile company, The talented proved very successful.

remark juveniles displayed throughout able conûdenco in their parts and both the songs and dances were admirably performer to the unstinted applause of the large audience. The acting far ex- coedad espectation and the progmume was sarried through most satisfactorily and to the enjoyment of every one present. Amongst the performers certainly worthy of ucation was the humarous acting of Smith ant Brown which was very excellent indeed and the charming little pair, Sally and Tom- my, gave thoaudience immense pleasure. On the whole the "Babes in the wood" was a complete success. The lady who had the task of accompanist at the piano deserves also her measure of praise. Mr Lilliard is to be congratulated for bringing such a clever company of juvenilos in spite of the difficulties he has overcome in baving them trained as they are.
