AHOY, Decomber 28. walking match arranged by the Cus toms Club took place on Xmas morning under perfect conditions. A bright, sunny

Some thirty old people were present at the start, which was punctually at 9.30. Ten men started, after being anspped by Mee Cheung. Mesars. Fletcher and Voir at once went well shead, and it was manifest from the start that the race lay between them. When the walkers passed the Club the first time, Fletcher was about 100 yards ahead, followed by Veir. Both were walking well, Fletcher in particular showing great form. He is something over 6 feet in height, and has a useful strido.
