NAVY.
THE report on the bealth of the British Navy for 1907 maken very satisfactory reading for all interested in the well- being of the senior arm of His Majesty's services. It is, they will be glad to know, an improvement on 1908, which year also showed a distinct advance on its predecessors, thus speaking eloquent y for the unceasing vigilance now maintained throughout the Navy in all matters in which the health and
onlarly unhealthy or hazaculous station, and with the cool waters of the northern seas to retreat to in the worst months of summer; with Wei-hei-wei too, an ideal place for recruiting health and strength at nearly all times of the year, the Squadron should avoid many of the troubles which afflict the Navy on other stations. We hope, however, that the China squadron will now strive to get nearer to the top of the list for healthiness and es hold the palm for that as well as for efficiency.
