Most lawyers are aware of the trouble over the New Zealand land! cate in 1903, Sir Robert Stout (Chief Justice of Ken. Zenland) said, in a con sidered statement frota the bench: "Wo in Zadar, so far as the Privy Council are concerned, are in an uufor- tunate position. They have shown that they know not our statutes, or our convey ancing terms, or our history; the decision ofo Privy Council in

These recent decisions of the Privy Council in the Commonwealth Income-tax cases are universally condemned by the lawyers of the Commonwealth.
