Japan Wants Orders.
The "Nippon" has an interesting par graph about the projected Chinese navy. Cur readers are aware that the Peking Government has decided to provide the country with Beet and that instructions have been muldressed to the local straps calling for their advice and assistance. The main object of these instructions ja said to be the collection of funds, and it is thought that in vow of the rights-recovery fever now prevalent in China the people will readily pnt up oney for the text. sou here in keen competition meong the ship-baillars of England. Americ fieramy and Fence to alten the raves for these vesels, especially as the shije building industry in Bunga is greatly depressed at presunt. It is beherad, han evec, that the Chinese Gavernment will place a part of the order with the Mitsu Bishi Frm in Nagaki, as the propinquity of the tatton's wird to China would save amsiderably expense in getting the vessels ort and would as greatly fuilitate in- spection during construction. Jag has ertainly marked leantages in this par- ticular cee, and, so far as trebuigne is concorned; the liten tishi uy be fully rusted to turn out first class works. It is stated that Mr Shoda Heigene, Manager of the Nagunaki Yoil, is visiting Chum mainly in comfection with this basiness.-"Japan Jait
