Moreover, the Daido Club threatens to oppose, in co-ordination with the Progressivos, the Seiyukai proposal for the speedy 'con- struction of the Rumeyo-Mashiko railway in Hokkaido. This proposal was intended to be put on dobate in the Lower House on Tuesday, but it was subsequently decided by the seiyukai to withdraw it.

The reasons preferred by the Daido Club now in objecting to the Ministerial bill for the abolition of "Guesi" are, firstly, that it was formerly inclined to support the bill, as the ontborities concerned intimated

to be taken, s the forerunner of the abolition of county offices also, but they now declars that it does not mean the disestablishment of Country offices, and secondly that, such an important question - as this should not be settled at once, but be deferred for two or three years for careful deliberation. But it may be noted that other underlying reasoils are the Seiyukai's arrogant attitude and the general disinclination of going to the next general elections under the regime of Mr Hara, a Seiyukai lender, as Minister of Home Affaire, who is alleged to be likely to interfere in favour of the Beiyukai alone.

Having suddenly joined hands with the, Daido Club, the Progressives are somewhat perturbed And some of them consulted, it is reported, Count Katsura, ex-Premier, as to whether Dale Representatives were really in earnest in their Intest move. Meanwhile, the Seiyukai are said to have intimated to Count Katsura that the circum atances compelled them to sever relations with the Daldo Club,

Some Tokyo papers instance the proverb. that arrogante cannet het long. One of them goes to the length of inferring there from the recrudescence of the influence of the Kateurs

About the Music Nerve

A great musician seems to be one big nerve--The Music Nerve which thrills and vibrates to every mood and emotion, and thus the wury ardour of ganius exhausts the perve force far more rapidly than is usual with less gifted people. Interviewed recently about this important fact, Mr. Mark Hambourg, the wonderful master of the piano, admits that the nervous strain of continuous recitals taxes his energy so heavily that he finds it necessary to replenish his nervous system with a course of Phosferine. So highly does Mr. Hambourg esteem the recuperative powers of the famous nerve Tonic, that be willingly allows us to reproduce his opinion of the invigorating qualities of Phosferine. And how to safeguard it.

MARK HAMBOURG writes:I consider I have derived consider.. able benefit from the use of Phosferine and find it to be an excellent pick-me-up after my recitals."-November 3, 1906.

The Royal Example.

Phosferine is used by the Royal Families of Europe which, in plain language, means that every user of Phosferine knows and feels that this famous Tonic is commended by the greatest living Physicians.
