SCHOOLS.

Distribution of Prisen.

The annual distribution of prizes won't the Yaumiti, Wanchai, and Salyanpun District Schools took place this morning as the latter school, West Point. ME. A. Irving (Inspector of Schools) presided, and there was a large attendance of scholars and friends of the different schools. The school building was nicely decorated for the occasion and Its seating accommodation was taxed to the utmost expulty.

Before the prizes were distributed. the head masters read their annual reports.

Mr D. Morrie (Salyumpan Sokool) de; livered his report. first sad stated that the! day was a red letter one in the history of the school, this being the drat occasion on which the distribution of prizes bad taken place at the Balyingpan cobool. Great strides had been made in attendance during the year.
