In the Golf Championship Messre Cormack and Macallan met on January 1 to decide the final ție. Both men appear- ed soincwhat nervous at the start, and little of interest happened at the earlier holes. At the tonth hole the match stood all square; but, after this, Mr Macallan appeared to fall off somewhat, and at the conclusion of the first round Bir Cormack Nstood up.
After tifin tho match was Fresumed. Mr. Cormick continued to play. Esteadily and gradually increased his lead, finally winning the match at the 29th holo by 7up and 6 to play. Mr Cormack is to be congratulated upon the fine form he has displayed all through this contest. He Rholds the Championship Cup for one year and a handsoma prizo in addition, while
