Carpenters ? tili fut.
Contrary to expectations formed yestar. day the Dock strike is still on. The carponters who are the only mon affected are still out and report has it that a large number of them have found employment elsewhere. The Dock Company is, of course, by far the largest employer of this class of labour and the strikers unmber between four and five hundred men.

The mon, he declared, had acted very unreasonably and had paciend up their things and gone away frour work without giving him any warning. They had not even taken the trouble to see what was the exact position takeir up by the Company with regard to their demands. What they asked for was a vise of 20 cents per day.
