His Lordship Sir Francis' Piggott (Chief Justice) was in the chair, and among the others present were:-Messrs Deardon Fuller, F. 0. Barlow, A. B. Texford, F. F. Bovety F. Austen, C. A. Brown (Secretary) and R. T. D. Bayle (Treasurer). There were also a number of ladies present.

In opening the meeting Sir Francie Piggott expressed the pleasure it gave hint to be vice-president of the Society, and then referred to the time fifty years ago almost) when he last sit on's music tool, remarking that he had nearly becomplished his musical jubilee.
