We have been Informed by Messrs Melchers and Company that the "Boon" was floated off the rock at 6 p.m. on Satur day and proceeded to Nagasaki arriving there anfely.

Ken Iwakum, a Japanese, was indicted at the Criminal Sessions this morning, [efore His Honour, Mr A. G. Who (Puisne Judge) on two charges of uttering a forged note and one of having forged bank-notes in his possession. He pleaded not guilty to the first and second chargos but admitted having the notes in his possession, but he only knew they were forged after he had been arrested. The following jurors were called: R. 8. Judah, W. Taylor, T. C. Gray, W. E.dcket in Japan. West, H. C. Ollife, J Mitchell and E. Clayman.

The Attorney General in opening stated the charges against the prisoner. April 12 the prisoner bought a watch for $5 and tendered a note for $10 in payment, which was accepted. Five days later he went to another shop and brought a box. Part of this shop belonged to the same man from whom he bought the watch, and dis happened to be there at the time. In

In the opening at Zehrmann commenced with double fault, and lost the second point by sending the ball right out of the court. He won the third point, and again lost through too much strength, theirst game ultimately going to Master. By a strange coincidence Master opened exactly as did Zehrmann, by a double ‘ault, and lost the game after scoring one point. MUTINY OF SOLBERS.

In a recent trip to the interior I learned of rather an ugly affair in the Chow City of Lin Ping. One of the patty officials in the Tamen of that place had a difficulty with two soldier brothers by the name of Wong, This official, Lim, killed these two brothers, but in that reotion the brothers who were killed had tre brothers who were soldiers, and they took up the trouble, forming a band of gomo hundred of the soldiers who rebelled from the service, and com- menced to pillage the country, ing and robbing, and creating general con- sternation on the part of the people. They did not stopin the immediate section where the trouble began, but were getting recruits and going into other districts. Help was asked for from other districts.
