FOR BABY'S SKIN
SCAEP AND HAIR
Something for Mothers to Think About EVERY CHILD born into the world with an inherited or early developed tendency to distressing, disfiguring humours of the skin, scalp, and blood, becomes an object of the most tender solicitude, not only because of its suf- fering but because of the dreadful fear that the disfigura- tion is to be lifelong and mar its future happiness and prosperity. Hence it becomes the duty of mothers of such afflicted children to acquaint themselves with the best, the purest, , and most effective treatment available,
viz., THE CUTICURA TREATMENT.
Warm batha with CUTICURA BOAP, to cleanse the skin of crusts and scales and soften the thickened cuticle, gentle anointings with CUTICURA OINT- MENT, to instantly allay itching, irritation, and infiammation, and soothe and heal, to be followed in the severer casca by mild doses of CUTICURA RESOL VENT PILLS (see below), to cool and cleanse the blood, are all that can be desired for the alleviation of the suffering of skin-tortured Infants and children and the comfort of worn-out, worried mothers. A single set is often sufficient to cure when the best physicians fail.
Millions of Women Use Cuticura Soap
། །།"་
Assisted by CuriouRA OINTMENT, for preserving, purifying, and beautifying the skin, for cleansing the scalp of crusts, scales, and dandruff, and the stopping of failing hair, for sortening, whitening, and soothing red, rough, and sore hands, for baby rashes, ltchings, and chalings, in the form of baths for annoying irritations and Indammations, or too free or offensive perspiration, In the form of washes for ulcernüvo weaknesses, and for many Banative, sadisophie purposes which readily suggest themselves to women, especially mothers, and for all the purposes of the tollet, bath, and nuriery,
CUTIOURA RESOLTENT PILLS (Chocolate Coated) are prepared to meet the wants of delicate women, and sensitive children, and are pare, sweet, and tasteless. They are beyond question the most successful blood purifiers and humouroures yet compounded.
CUTIOURA BEKUains are sold thronghent thakurid. Australian Depoti R. Towers & Co. Sydney, Brifich Depot: 77-33, Charterhouse Sq., London: French Depoti itue de la Faiz, Paria Portas DEVO AND ÜHER- Doms, Bale Props, Boston, U. 8: A2 • All aboa1 the Skin" free.

A YEAR OF BLOODSHED,
Russia's Death Roll of 14,000.
اثر
ST PETERSBURG, March 29, It is stated that Government reports prove that 24,130 were killed and 10,824
: :r,·
wounded in the internal disorders of last -year.—-—-It-is-sasumed by the Press that these figures have been minimised by the Government.
I am informed from a trustworthy souros that Count Solaky, president--of-the Council of the Empie, has prepared for the Emperor a memorial predicting that the Dams will include 80 many

be dissolved, and its lunations devolved upon the Imperis! Council, As I hinted recently. Egunt Bolsky is too old for the arduous post of President of the Council under ita now conditions, and it is believed that Count Witte will welcome the more easy and permanent position. It is report- ed that Russia is now ruled by a "kitchen cabinet" composed of General Trepoff, Senator Gariq, and other reactionaries,
It is significant that the Emperor rejected 1376 Governor-General Gerhardt's nominations.

M.Suvorin, the editor of the "Russ," has been sentenced to a-year's imprison- ment for a Press offence. The oldest lawyers declare that the Emperor's refusal to reduce the sentence to three months in accordance with the plea of the courts is unprecedented in the history of Russian jurisprudence. Such pleas are an integral part of the judgment, formal grounds alone preventing the court from decreeing a milder sontence.
