NOTICE IS HERELY GIVEN that un or about the 1st of July the work of changing the present fixed light on Kung- tungtao Island for a group lightning flashing light will be commenced.

While the alterations are proceeding, the present light will be replaced by two sixth order lena lanterns auspended one on each of the lantern gallery, and these lights should be visible, in clear weather, at a dis- tance of 8 nautical miles.

The new light is to be group lightning-

flashing, of the Third Order, and will show three White Flashes in quick succession overy 20 seconde.

It will be exhibited from a new lautern placed on the summit of the old Tower and should be visible all round, in clear weather, at a distance of 22 nautical miles. Further notice will be given concerning the date when the New Light will be shown.

Careful estimates lead to the expectation that a paper mill producing say 5) tons of paper per week, will yield a dividend of at least 15 to 20 per cent to the Shareholders; this is considered to be a most conservative. estimate.
