WILD WITH ECZEMA

And Other Itching, Burning, Scaly Eruptions with Loss of Hair.

Speedy Cure Treatment.

Bathe the affected parts with Hot Water and Cuticura Soap, to cleanse the surface of crusts and scales, and soften the thickened cuticle. Dry, without hard rubbing, and apply Cuticura Ointment freely, to allay itching, Irritation, and Inflammation, and soothe and heal, and lastly take Cuticura Resolvent Pills, to cool and cleanse the blood. A single set is often sufficient to cure the most torturing, dis- „figuring, itching, burning, scaly, pimply humours, eczemas, rashes, Irritations, and chafings, with loss of hair, when all else fails.

The agonizing itching and burning of the skin, as in cozema; the fright- ful scalin as in psoriasis; the loss of hair and crusting of the-scalp, as in acalled hii; the facial disfigurement, as in pimples and ringworn; the awful suffering of infants and the anxiety of worn-out parents, as in milk crust, tetter, and salt rheum, all demand a remedy of almost superhuman virtues to successfully cope with them. Such are the CUTICURA remedies, the purest, sweetest, most speedy and economical quatives for the akin, scalp, and blood ever compounded. Mothers are their warmest friends.

Millions of Women Use Cuticura Soap

Assisted by CUTICURA OINTMENT for preserving, purifying, and beautify- ing the skin, for cleansing the scalp of crusts, scales, and dandruff, and the stopping of falling hair, for softening, whitening, and soothing red, rough, and sore hands, for baby rashes and chafings, in the form of baths for noying irritations and infamations of women; or too free or offensive perspiration, in the form of washes for ulcerative weaknesses, and many, sanative, tantiseptic purposes which readily suggest themselves, as well s8 for all the purposes of the toilet, bath, and nursery,

CUTICURA RESOLVENT PILLS (Chocolate Coated) are a now, tasteless,

odourless, economical substitute for the cele brated liquid CUTICURA RESOLVENT, 88 well for all other blod purifiers and humour. cures, Put up in screw-cap pocket vials, containing 60 doser.

He claims that the spirit of God is incarnate in hin at his will, as are also the apirits of Elijahi and St. Paul. His following is an oath- bound organisation, only those being ad. mitted to the deeper mystories of the cult who have proven faithful in the simpler elements.

Ezora is one of the handsomest Hawaiians in the Islands. Io isi man of great elo- quence in his native tongue and knows the Scriptures almost by heart. He has been pastor of the Ewa Church, one of the largest native churches in the Islands, for several years. Two years ago he was chaplain of the Seminte. Nearly two years ago he lost. hlo wife, the mother of his pane children. Melanchola foll wed this grief, and he te gan to see visions and have spiritualistic visitants, though he remained orthodox in his theology until a few months ago, when he began to develop the doctrines of incarna” tion in him of some of the worthies of the Old and New Testamente.

His doctrines include the duty of his fol Towers to provide liberally for him, and this they have so far done. He has gathered quito a following about him. Several of the native churches-among whose membership he has preached his doctrines-have become divided."

This leads me to believe that different tribes are now con. founded under the general term of Wam- buti. I was assured by several officiale that they were cannibale, but if such practices are carried on it is only with the greatest possible secrecy. The numerous failures that occurred about Chinese New Year will still be fresh in the minds of every one and from what we can gather we have not yet heard the last of them. From their position on May 16 they had the choice of using the Bashee Channel, skirting east of Formosa and passing between the Loochoo Islands and the Majico Sina Group, to reach Shanghai, or by going through the Formosa Chan nel and passing the Pescadores, Which route they availed themselves of we are not in

a position to state, but the pro- babilities am that they kept clear of the Fortacea Channel. From reports and rumours that have been current, for some time it was generally considered that the

Formosa Channel was an n extremely dan. gerous one for the Russians to attempt to pass through, hence the deduction that the Russians went through the Bashee Chan. nela

Now that the Russians have reached

Shanghai the naval engagement, which we have been looking forward to for so long, appears to be well within eight. The con. ditions are all the more favourable to the Japanese than they would have been had a

The purchase of the latter was successfully carried through in April last year, and so far, we have every reason to congratulate ourselves. Weare of opinion that these new branches will prove a source of strength to the Com pany in the future. As you aroaware, dur- ing the period under review, the capital of The Company was increased from $600,000, to $900,000 by the issue of 30,000 new shares of $10 each, such shares being issued at D% premium. The amount derived by way of premium was carried to Permanent Reserve Fund, Increasing the amount of this Fund from 1250,000 to $280,0.0. We have thought "t advisable to place a further sum of $20,000 from the profits of the year to this account, bringing it up to $300,000, which we trust meets with your approval.

The earlier events of the war are likely to he repented. Japan with tiny torpedo craft will strive to effect the destruction of of the Baltic Fleet, as she did the previous Russian vessels. Will she succeed? That is for the future alone to decide, and we should know the result within the next few days.
