In the King's Bench Division on Feb. 17 before Mr Justice Darling and a Special Jury, Colonel Galbraith G. Graver, of Bayswater, brought an action against M. Jacques Lobaudy who describes himself as

The defendant denied that he had entered into any agreement with the plaintiff, and pleaded that as he was a Sovereign Prince he could not be sued. Ho further said that if an agreement had been entered into it was illegal.

Mr Schiller read the evidence of Mr Lebaudy, taken on commission. He said. that no contract was ever entered into with Colonel Graves to be his Commander-in- Chief of the Saharan Empire.
The jury found that there had boon no contract to employ the plaintiff, and on that finding his Lordship entered judgment for the deferidant with easts.

He noticed in a report of investigation by some French doctors, that they discovered there were no traces, in the atmosphere of the cemetery, cemetery, the only gas they could find was of noxious gases; and, in the soil of the carbonio acid gas. This steamer brings the parcel mails closed in London for - despatch by the all sea route on the 16th February and fur despatch for overland on the 22nd February. The O. & O. S. S. Co.'s s.s. Coptic, with mails, &c., from San Francisco to the 25th ultimo, vis Honolulu, has ar- rived at Yokohama, and left for this port on the morning of 17th March, via Inland Sea, Kobe, Naga. saki, and Shanghai, due Hongkong on or a'out the 26th March.
