WILD WITH ECZEMA
And Other Itching, Burning, Scaly Eruptions with Loss of Hair.
Speedy Cure Treatment.
Bathe the affected parts with Hot Water and Cuticura Soap, to cleanse the surface of crusts and scales, and soften the thickened cuticle. Dry, without hard rubbing, and apply Cuticura Olntment treely, to allay itching, irritation, and inflammation, and soothe and heal, and lastly take Cuticura Resolvent Pilis, to cool and cleanse the blood. A single set is often sufficient to cure the most torturing, dis- figuring, itching, burning, scaly, pimply humours, eczemas, rashes, Irritations, and chafings, with loss of hair, when all else fails,
The agonizing itching and burning of the skin, as in eczema; the fright- ful scaling, as in psoriasis; the loss of hair and crusting of the-soalp; as in. scalled head; the facial disfigurement, as in pimples and ringworm; the awful suffering of infants and the anxiety of worn-out parents, as in inilk crust, tetter, and alhrheum, all demand a remedy of almost superhuman virtues to successfully cope with them. Such are the COTICCRA remedies, the purest, sweetest, most speedy and economical curatives for the skin, scalp, and blood ever compounded. Mothers are their warmest friends.
Millions of Women Use Cuticura Soap
Assisted by CUTICURA OINTMENT for preserving, purifying, and beautify. ing the skin, for cleansing the scalp of crusts, scales, and dandruff, and the stopping of falling hair, for softening, whitening, and soothing red, rough," and sore bands, for baby rashes and chafings, in the form of baths for annoying irritations and inflammations of women, or too free or offensive perspiration, in the form of washes for ulcerative weaknesses, and many Sanative, antiseptic purposes which readily suggest themselves, as well as for all the purposes of the toilet, bath, and nursery.
CUTICURA RESOLVENT PILLS (Chocolate Coated) are a Dew, tasteless,
odourless, economical substitute for the cele
brated liquid CUTICULA RESOLVENT, as well as for all other blood purifiers and humour cures. Put up in screw-cap pocket vials, containing 60 doses.

ABOLITION OF THE WORK-

Amusing Lecture by Mr Bernard Shaw.
Mr G. Bernard Shaw recently lectured at Toynbee Hall in London, to an audience entirely composed of working men, on the uselessness of the working thesis was:
That the 8805

are useless, dangerous, and ought to be abolished. The audience of Whitechapel working men, says a London paper, had obviously come to be amused, and the lec- ture-room in Toynbee Hall was crowded with a tolerant congregation, who applaud- ed the lecturer's frequent and facile jeërs at themselves.

I never have been a friend of the work- ing classes; I never approved of them; I have always wanted to get rid of them."
Thus the lectarer began. Mr Shaw said
he was disappointed in the working man. Twenty-five years ago it was possible to believe in the working classes. It was confidently prophesied that, if once the working
enfranchised, he would assert himself and achieve his ainis. The Liberal Party had given

I used to be a Socialist," said the lecturer sadly I am now A Moderate member of a Moderate borough council. Mr Shaw went on to tell how he fought his first election. He stood on a Labour plat- form, in the company of a Labour member, and was ignominiously defeated. He could not express how ignominiously. He was told that he should have expected that re- ault if he was so foolish as to mix himself up with that sort of people.' The next election he was wiser. He made it plain that he had nothing to do with labour; in- stead, he wrote to every working man in the constituency, and told him that he depend- ed for his election upon the votes of the thoughtful few. As a result he was re- turned high up.
Mr Shaw spoke with pathos of his ex- periences as an Irish landlord. Ho depre- cated his tenants' extraordinary desira for roofs-extravagant things which they seem. ed to think necessary, but which Mr Shaw's ancestors found they could do without. And he offered to make a present of his estate to anybody who would take it off his - hands.
