INDIGESTION
means torturing pain, incessant weariness, wretched days and wakeful nights. It means being "done up," "played out," "bowled over," "good-for-nothing" all the day and every day. It means starved blood, starved muscles, a starved body, and a starved brain; in short, it means shattered health '' and a broken constitution unless you root it out with- out delay. Mother Seigel's Curative Syrup is the national remely for indigestion in sixteen countries. Its unrivalled reputation is backed by thirty-three years' unbroken success in curing Indigestion. It has brought hope and health to. countless thousands of half-dead dyspeptics in every climo. It cured Mr. C. A. BONNETT. It will cure you. Read his testimony: "Aftor suffering continuously from acute indige.tion and constipation for two years my recovery was completely effected in six weeks by Mother Seigel's Syrup. It rapidly broke up the constipation, restored any appetite and built up my strength. An occasional dose now keeps me in good order. 58, Carrie Street, Adelaide.-March 24, 1902." It seems now that the cargo to be carried by the vessel was of a very questionable sort. The vessel left this harbour on Tuesday after. noon, but did not proceed far. Agreeably to what must have been a previous arrangement, she dropped anchor near Pappenberg, and was approached by a samp n containing no fewer than fifteen girls, and a procurer. At this moment the Water Police, who, it is to be imagined, got wind of the attempt, appeared on the scene. They took the girls and the man into custody, and brought them up to Deshima hatobe. There, as the party was landing, the man succeeded in making his escape. He has not yet been caught, but a severe punishment awaits him when he is secured. The girls were reprimanded, and aro to be handed over to their relatives to-day.
