THE PLAGUE

The plague statistics issued to-day show that there 33 frish cases of plague during the past twenty-four hours (32 Chinese and 1 other Asiatic) and 20 deaths: Elio totals to dato aro-Casos Chinese, 837; other Asiatise, 17; Europeans 10. Desths Chinese, 793; otlier Asiatics, 12; Euro- paans, 4-that is to my, 804 comes and 200 deaths.

No further European cases of plague have occurred in Hongkong, and all the European patients in Hospital are doing well. A Sanitary Board foron me O, de Cruz, who was employed in plague work at Younati, contracted the disease, and died yesterday. One of his daughtere (o child), also died of the disease, and an other(also an infant) is removed to Hospital. Beaconsfield Aroule sens to be getting a thorough overhaul.
